A call to arms
Finally, your prayers have been answered! This Tuesday we will hit the studio to record a three track EP in prior to our upcoming full length. This EP will contain three tracks and it will be downloadable from our web-base. Yes, you've read it correctly, downloadable for FREE! After taking so many lives and destroying countless cities on our last campaign, we felt the need to give something back to the people. This, however, does not mean that we won't ever be found on the battlefield again. We love the smell of napalm in the morning!
In fact, you can watch us destroy Weesp on the 19th of September at "De Bosuil". Also, on the 27th of December we will annihilate Amsterdam. Keep checking our web-base for future targets. In the meantime, prepare your bomb shelters for the upcoming EP, because it will hit you like an atomic bomb.

Another proof of sheer brilliance

Dystopia - This Means War
I'll break it to you right away: the only negative thing about this demo is the fact that it's múch too short! This disc grabbed me on the very first listen.
Dystopia was founded at the end of 2004 in 'Noord-Holland', but under the name 'Imperial Dystopia'. A year later the band started to gig and even the infamous 'Waerdse Tempel' was visited. In 2006 the first demo 'The Last Assault' was recorded, but unfortunately never released.
The band shortened it's name to 'Dystopia' and plans were made for a more professional demo. Also, a second guitar player was added to the lineup. This demo, "This Means War", got lots of positive feedback. Plans are being made to record a full-length.
The demo consists of three tracks and is, like previously stated, way too short (over 15 minutes). The sound quality is reasonable, the production could be a bit more "fatter".
The band describes itself as a four headed bulldozer, crushing anything on it's path. At the first listen I was indeed crushed, positively speaking.
The music is a mixture of death- and thrashmetal with the third track even featuring some bits of blackmetal. This third song, 'Devastator', is imo the best track. The band does clearly have it's own sound and the music is difficult to categorize.
For the average metalfan this band is definitely worth wile. BRING ON THE FULL LENGTH!!!

Our new and improved propaganda machine
Finally, a webpage worth showing. After several failed attempts by our previous webhost in creating a somewhat decent webpage, we have decided to part ways with him. Sabotaging the Dystopia propaganda machine is unacceptable. Props go to Sandra for the new site. This site will be much better maintained than our previous site (because it's not run by a total retard), so now it's worth visiting every once in a while. Heck, why not make it your home!
Furthermore, it's kind of quiet in the Dystopia camp. We're making preparations for our upcomming full-lenght, simply titled "EGO", which we're planning on recording in october. This album will, ofcourse, contain some of the most amazing pieces of music you will ever hear. It will atleast be ten times louder, harsher, more brutal and overal even BETTER than our previous demo. With amps set to eleven, a drummer on steriods, subsonic bassquakes and a now TRIPLE vocal attack, this album is already doomed to be legendary.
In the meantime; keep an eye on this site, listen to our demo alot (if you don't have one, shame on you! Order at our merchandise page) and keep praying for us to destroy a nearby town in the future.
